What is the converter box coupon program?

It is estimated that there are roughly 23 million coupons available. Each home is eligible for no more then two coupons. Once those coupons have been used, there will only be an additional 11 million coupons available for people who must receive their television’s broadcast with over the air antennas.

Here’s the catch: homes that already have cable, satellite, or some form of paid for TV service, will not be eligible for the second batch of coupons.

There is no massive rush, however, you only have until March 31, 2009, to apply and receive your converter box coupon.

If the coupons run out before that however, then you will have to pay full price for the converter box.
