Will I receive high definition TV (HDTV) with a converter box?

I loved this question because it is very relevant. If you have a converter box, then yes, you will be able to view HDTV programs. However, keep in mind that with the converter box, the HDTV most likely will not be in HD quality.

Now analog sets cannot display HDTV resolution so although your picture will improve with a converter box, if your TV does not have HD capability, then it will not be HDTV.

If true HDTV is what you’re after, then you must upgrade your television to a newer TV that is rated for high definition resolution.

Let me know what your older TVs HD resolution looks like without being a newer TV.
